Not only does it convert from the analog component signal to digital for HDMI, and not only does it upscale the image, but it does these (and does
them well, mind you) with a manufacturer-stated 8ms average of input lag (half a frame). As far as i can tell with my eyes, that feels close enough.
(I'd like to see that analyzed better, but i can't do that myself.) That's way better timing than most televisions are going to give you when
upscaling from any source, so you might be able to cut out some lag by using this to run in your display's native resolution. Oh, and the toggleable
overscan and color options are a very nice bonus. Highly recommended for people who need HDMI output and/or want to minimize input lag in their setup.
As for the price... well, it's no stocking-stuffer, but at least your Wii was comparatively cheap, and has built-in wireless. If you splurge a little
here, you may improve your viewing experience considerably.

There's only one problem. Games without 480p support will look terrible because the signal isn't upscaled. This games include some WiiWare, Metroid
Prime 1 and 2 and others. Besides that, excelent product! The games(with 480p support, of course) really look awesome. The product arrived as
promised... [Updated on 16/July/2010] I know isnt much, but I would like to add some notes to my last review on VDIGI... Actually, I said
that 480i games(those without 480p support) look really bad when using the upscaler, but, Ive just tested the device on a LED TV and for my surprise,
even with the upscaler in "red light" mode, the image was quite good. Maybe this doesnt have any value for you guys, but I think you might want
to know...

Review by MR BrnrnExcellent product, arrived in one week (I'm in the UK) I was originally using the hd box pro (with official component cable) to
upscale my wii output from 480p to 1080p but this is much much better. As long as you are aware this isnt gonna give you ps3 style graphics - this is
just an upscaler but the best one there is. The picture is clearer , sharper more vivid, colours are richer and more vibrant. The picture is
noticeably better than using component cable (I was using official Ninty brand)When I recieved this I noticed it was already set to 1080p so I just
plugged it in and it worked straight away. I love it, at the moment its the best thing for bringing the wii close to HD, it doesn't look like they are
working on a Wii HD so buy it now.

I received this product in about a week and a half to the states! I use a 50inch Hitachi Plasma which already has a fantastic upscale. However the
ability to connect the wii thru HDMI was my main reason to purchase. The device does smooth out some edgedes and more then anything I noticed smaller
text was clearer. I recommend this product for anyone using a TV larger then 32inch. Combined with my TV video settings this product did give me the
best picture possible from the wii's output. rnrnVideos is Great, Audio is Great, and if there is a slight lag, its so small I am not even noticing
it.rnrnHighly Recommended for larger screens!

I got the product today and I have to say I'm very happy with the purchase. I have a 24" PC Monitor, 16:9, 1080p with 2 HDMI ports. I always
wanted to hook up my Wii to my monitor but the lack of HDMI on the Wii crushed that. My current TV really sucks and I didn't feel like buying a new
TV.rnrnThe VD-W3 was very easy to set up and it works great. I tried multiple games and it looks good. Some games like Twilight Princess and No More
Heroes look kinda bad, the lack of AA on those games suck. But games like Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy look awesome.rnGamecube games look great
also. Wind Waker looks so good.rnrnThis product is not for everyone, I guess it depends on what you're looking for. Like me I wanted a way to connect
my Wii to HDMI to my monitor and this was a great way to do it. If you're TV already has Component cables I suggest you stick with that. Again great
product 5*.
